At Barbour Spangle Design, we believe great design doesn't just support learning, it embodies the values of the institution it serves. That philosophy guided every detail of our work on the new Kenneth F. Kahn School of Law at High Point University. A building rooted in tradition, rich with refinement, and created with a deep respect for the legal profession.
From the moment you enter, the space communicates a sense of purpose. Polished terrazzo floors reflect soft, ambient lighting. Warm wood paneling and intricate moldings evoke prestige and permanence. Brass accents add just the right amount of sophistication. Every finish, every texture, every curve of a chair was selected to reflect the seriousness and legacy of the law, while still feeling inviting, comfortable, and modern.
Designed to support both the demands of legal education and the community it creates, this building offers students a space to think critically, study deeply, and connect meaningfully with peers and professors. At the heart of it all is the library, a timeless sanctuary with classical wood bookshelves and burnished chandeliers that inspire focus, curiosity, and excellence. We designed this law school to last. Not just in its materials, but in its message.
